At the moment, we’re not actively looking for editors, proofreaders, formatters or book cover artists, as those roles within our current team are already filled.
However, there are still plenty of ways to become part of the Black Cat family.

The Black Cat family is always growing — perhaps there’s a place for you in it, too.
While we don’t restrict ourselves to a particular genre, there are a few areas that aren’t the right fit for our publishing list.
We do not accept erotica or dark romance. This doesn’t mean a manuscript can’t contain romance, attraction or some spice — we’re perfectly comfortable with those elements when they serve the wider story. However, we aren’t looking for graphic sexual content or stories where sex, sexual violence or morally grey sexual relationships are the central focus.
If that is the kind of story you write, there are many wonderful publishers and opportunities out there who may be better suited to your work, and we’d always encourage you to find the publishing home that feels right for your voice.
We also do not accept manuscripts written by AI. We want to champion human voices, imagination and the individual storytelling that makes every author’s work their own.
Ultimately, we’re looking for human stories, human voices and books that stay with us — whatever genre they happen to belong to.
